This Double Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding is full of healthy fats and fiber that will keep you full ’til lunch! Add a little cinnamon for a Mexican hot chocolate twist.
At the beginning of September I started a new job with a local digital marketing agency (yay!)
I basically work helping other businesses improve their websites and online presence. It’s challenging and fun and I’m constantly learning new things. I’m loving it!
This is so funny but after being unemployed for four months, I was so happy to get to meal prep breakfasts and lunches again for work! #TypeALife
Double Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding
Quick overnight breakfasts like overnight oats and chia seed pudding have been my BFF. In the morning I’ll put it in a pretty bowl, add toppings like nut butters, fruits, almonds, my favorite Wildway grain-free granola or a scoop of toasted pecan muesli.
Sitting down and enjoying breakfast slowly, and without my phone, is my favorite way to start the day.
To change things up from my original chia seed pudding recipe (the most popular recipe on ASL!), I whipped up this chocolate version and it seriously feels like I’m having dessert for breakfast. You’ll love it!

- In the container you'll be making your double chocolate chia seed pudding in, add the unsweetened cocoa powder and a splash of the vanilla almond milk.
- Zap it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to warm the milk* Mix with a spoon until smooth and then add the rest of the almond milk (it will look like chocolate milk)
- Add in the maple syrup, chia seeds, and chocolate chips if using. Close your container and shake to combine.
- Let sit for about 5 minutes before you shake again (this breaks up any clumps that initially formed). Place in the fridge overnight.
*if you skip this step, the cocoa powder will not mix with the milk and will stay in little clumps.
